Choose the flower essence whose message most resonates with you, and experience the power of Mother Earth’s healing. What are Flower Essences? Plants are our allies in life. They give us great beauty, provide us with food, clean our air, and they can aid in healing. We need only listen to their offerings, and let our intuition guide us in selecting the plant that can help. The healing power of plants has been utilized since ancient times, but in the early 1900's Dr. Edward Bach developed a new healing modality derived from the fresh blossoms of plants. He discovered that each flower holds a unique vibration, or energy, that can be imprinted in water and used to alter our own vibration to one of well-being. As we use a flower essence, we begin to resonate in harmony with the qualities of the flower, so limitations and disharmonies begin to lift, restoring our mood, energy and overall health. ​ Flower essences work in a subtle manner, but when used consistently can have a very powerful transformative effect. The essences can be used as drops on the tongue, stirred into a beverage, or massaged into pulse points. Since there is no physical part of the plant in a flower essence, only its healing vibration, there are no side effects, and it is safe for all ages of humans and animals too. Welcome to Healing Path Studio! I’m Torie, an artist, Tarot reader, Reiki Master/Teacher, and medicine crafter. I’m also a deep believer that healing comes from within, and is empowered by our connection to the wider world. ​ For me, that connection began on this little piece of land that I call home. Since I first arrived, I knew this landscape held my roots, that something I needed was being offered, and that I truly belonged here. Those knowings grew over time, as the magical inspiration of this place led me to the wisdom and medicine of the healing paths that I travel today. My journey began many years ago, when I was looking for a home during a very challenging time in my life. I was physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually depleted, just surviving each day, and sure that this was to be my permanent state. When my home search brought me to this little property, I nearly turned away. All I could see right then was a neglected lot, holding a tiny house in need of repair, and flanked by an overgrown pond—the place looked as bleak as I felt, but seemed to be welcoming me with open arms. As I set about fixing up my new home, I found I was most content when I was outside tending the land. I felt a deep bonding develop with the plant life as I got to know the native species, planted new trees, flowers, and herbs, and began to experience a sense of wellbeing whenever I was in the arms of the beautiful beings around me. As my little parcel grew vibrant, I did too—I had begun to understand the healing power of our Earth, and all that surrounds her. ​ My understanding expanded in the years to follow, as I studied plant medicine, found new inspiration for my artwork, became a Reiki Master/Teacher, and began working with the Tarot. I found in each of these practices a unique connection to the wider world, an expansion of intuition, and a new path to healing. ​ As I look out over the pond, with the wind in the willows, the sun on my face, my feet planted firmly on the soft soil, I feel as one with all that surrounds me, and know I’ve found belonging. I am beyond grateful for this place and the beautiful practices I’ve been given to receive and share its empowering healing energy. Healing Path Reiki Training Classes Why learn Reiki? Reiki is a safe and effective energy healing technique that anyone can learn to improve their quality of life and that of others too. In channeling Reiki through the hands to ourselves or others, we balance the energy flow on all levels—spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical. This balance of energy then allows the recipient to experience feelings of relaxation, security, and wellbeing, enabling healing in all aspects of their lives. Reiki is available to anyone of any age or background as a means to enrich their life experience. Reiki is spiritual in nature, but it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe to learn and use Reiki. How are classes held? Healing Path Reiki training is held in private, in-person classes to offer you a cozy, comfortable, and comprehensive learning experience. Choose an individual one-on-one class or learn with a friend in a twosome class. What do classes offer? Healing Path Reiki classes consist of instruction in the history, fundamentals, methods, and practical uses of Reiki, along with the ritual of attunement that allows the student to channel this spiritually guided lifeforce energy. Classes are offered in three levels, each with a class manual, practice session, and compassionate support for your journey. If you decide to schedule a class, we’ll arrange a date and time that works for each of us, then you’ll be able to purchase your class from the website to confirm. Classes vary in length, depending on the number of students and the time needed for each class member to feel confident in their understanding of the material and their channeling ability. Typically, each class is between 3 and 4 hours long, so fits nicely into an afternoon. Three Levels of Training Level I Initiate Training is an initiation to Reiki and is open to everyone. This class covers the history, fundamentals, methods and practical uses of Reiki, with an attunement that opens the student’s energy channels, allowing them to practice Reiki on themselves as well as family, friends, and pets too. One Student Class - $250, Two Student Class - $450 Level II Practitioner Training is open to those who have completed Level I in any style of Reiki. This class prepares the student to offer Reiki to others professionally, with instruction on practitioner guidelines and creating a Reiki business. The attunement process includes introduction to 3 sacred Reiki symbols that allow the student to channel Reiki at a higher frequency, and conduct Reiki sessions from a distance. Each student receives a Reiki Practitioner certificate of training upon completion. One Student Class - $350, Two Student Class - $650 Level III Master/Teacher Training is open to those who have completed Level II in any style of Reiki, and practiced Reiki for a period of at least one year. This class instruction focuses on Reiki Mastership and teaching guidelines. The attunement for this class introduces the student to 2 additional sacred Reiki symbols, significantly enhancing their channeling ability, and preparing them to teach Reiki and give attunements. Each student receives a Reiki Master/Teacher certificate of training upon completion. One Student Class - $450 , Two Student Class - $850 Meet Your Teacher Reiki has been part of my life since 1996 when I attended a Level I attunement class just out of curiosity. It was a beautiful experience that lingered with me over the next several years, and eventually led me to training through Reiki Level III of Master/Teacher. Reiki is so much more than a healing technique. For me, it’s a spiritual practice that brings balance and harmony to every aspect of my life. Reiki is my comfort and support throughout the day, and an integral part of everything I do. I infuse Reiki energy into my herbal remedies, I use it as a cleansing before and after Tarot readings, and Reiki is an inspiration for much of my art (the piece behind me in the photo is titled Compassion). Reiki is the light that guides my path. As a practitioner, I’ve also had the privilege of sharing both in-person and distance Reiki with many clients over the years. It’s always such a joy to see someone express the relief and hope that a treatment can bring, and is the most rewarding experience of Reiki for me. ​ In teaching Reiki, my goal is to help each student develop a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence in their own ability to channel this life enhancing energy. I believe that everyone who participates in the study and attunements of Reiki becomes a ray of healing light, for themselves and for the entire collective. I developed Healing Path Reiki based on my training and attunements with Master/Teachers from two different styles of the traditional Japanese system, as well as my own experience and intuition. As my practice has evolved to also reflect my own beliefs and style, I don’t represent any specific lineage, but rather a unique, yet comprehensive study of Reiki. ​ Healing Path Reiki classes offers students the traditional fundamentals taught by Reiki’s founder, Dr. Mikao Usui, as well as insights and methods that I’ve found to be most effective in my practice. Torie’s class is thorough, informative, relaxing, interesting, and goes above and beyond in many ways. The environment of her studio is best described as a breath of fresh air. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a safe, gentle and non-invasive form of healing that increases energy, reduces pain and stress, produces deep relaxation and promotes a general feeling of well-being. ​ Techniques of energy healing have been in use throughout the world for millennia. The Reiki healing technique originated in Japan, its name coming from the words Rei which means "universal" and Ki which is “life force energy". Reiki then, means “universal life force energy”, the spiritual energy that gives life to every living being. ​ When our energy flow becomes imbalanced or blocked, we experience discomfort that can affect us mentally, emotionally, and physically. A Reiki healing session can alleviate the discomfort by re-opening the body’s energy flow to allow healing on every level. Reiki is spiritual in nature, but is not affiliated with any religion or religious practice. ​ A Reiki session concentrates on the body’s chakras, or energy centers. A Reiki practitioner uses gentle hand movements over the body, or over the miles, channeling positive energy through the chakras to realign and unblock the energy flow. We’ll conclude with a half hour Tarot reading to reveal guidance for your specific questions. Plan to spend an hour and a half or so in total time.
