Oh, just look at lovely you
all dressed up in rainbow hue,
heralding Autumn drawing near,
celebrating another year.
Fearless of the coming chill,
you bloom in glory, knowing you will
return within the breath of Spring
to grace us with your dance again.
On my morning walk today, these beautiful beings seemed to glow with the quiet wisdom of change and renewal, offering their gentle guidance for honoring the arrival of a new season.
As the golden light of Autumn begins to spill across the landscape, we are invited into one of nature’s most beautiful lessons: the art of change. The crisp air, the brilliant leaves, and the gentle slowing of the season remind us that every cycle of life holds something worth celebrating.
Stepping outside during this time of year, we are surrounded by the changes in all the beings—trees releasing their leaves, plants offering their final blossoms, animals preparing for winter’s rest. Each carries wisdom for us, if we pause long enough to listen. The trees teach us that letting go can be graceful, even radiant. The flowers remind us that beauty shines brightly, even in its closing moments. The rhythm of the earth itself whispers that endings are not final, but simply part of a greater unfolding.
Spending time in nature this season can become a form of gentle meditation. Take a walk among the trees, noticing the colors underfoot. Sit quietly in a patch of late sunlight, breathing in the cool, earthy scent of fallen leaves. Feel yourself part of this larger cycle, connected to the same rhythms that guide the growth, rest, and renewal of all living beings.
Autumn reminds us that change is not something to fear but something to honor. Every stage of life—birth, growth, release, rest—carries its own sacred beauty. When we learn from nature, we begin to see that each moment of our journey deserves celebration, not just the beginnings or the heights.
This season, may we step into nature not just as visitors, but as students. May we open our hearts to the wisdom of the falling leaf, the harvest moon, the crisp breeze. And may we find comfort in knowing that we, too, are part of this beautiful cycle—ever-changing, ever-growing, ever-worthy of celebration.
Autumn Blessings to All!
